It’s been a busy week!
Lots of new enquiries from people looking to consolidate their pensions under one roof, and presentations to employers and trustees facing the challenge of getting auto enrolment right in time for their staging date in 2014.
I’ve also been speaking with the Pension administrators at a £2billion PLC, helping them understand what Yardstick Marketing and Pension Matters Associates are trying to get that PLC’s pension scheme members to do.
Believe it or not, the pension scheme administrators had been on the cusp of transferring around 20 member’s pensions out of their well-funded final salary scheme, into unregulated, dodgy ‘investments’.

Thankfully they read my blog (here’s a link to it), spoke with me and The Pensions Regulator, and have stopped all the transfers in their tracks. They also reported both Yardstick and Pension Matters to Action Fraud - click on this link to report it if you’ve been approached by Yardstick Marketing or Pension Matters Associates.
Yardstick Marketing do not seem to care who they target, and they are still trying to rip people off………………even people who have ‘gold plated’ pensions, so let’s be clear:

If you have a pension, particularly a final salary scheme (e.g. a defined benefit scheme, a military, teachers or local government scheme pension) you should avoid Yardstick Marketing at all costs.
Do not sign any paperwork.
Do not make an appointment with them.
When thinking of Yardstick Marketing and Pension Matters Associates, I always think of a 4 letter word that rhymes with ham………….answers on a postcard please
Feedback is great, so if you tell Yardstick Marketing to get lost because of this blog, and you’re a happy bunny, let us have some feedback by clicking on this link and by clicking on one of the social media buttons at the bottom of the blog.

A big thank you to Jones Hill. I have found your site very useful and appreciate your professional honest service. I can recommend you. Also I want to say thank you for the warnings posted on your site about Yardstick marketing. Be warned the following companies appear to be linked and personally I would avoid them; "Pension Matters Associates Ltd" get "YardStick Marketing" to get a pension valuation done for you, then they have "QuickDox" go to your home to get a copy of your passport and get you to sign 15 pages authorizing the transfer of your pension to "Advalorem Value Asset Fund", part of their "Green Church Pension Scheme" which is part of company called "5G" and so the fiddle continues..... Be Warned!!!! I also came across this; Make your own mind up: http://www.boiler-rooms.org/yardstick-marketing/ By the way there is no link between Jones Hill and the above. I am grateful to Jones Hill that it was brought to my attention via this site. Thank you again!! SJ
Strongly recommended - very commercial, efficient and professional.
R Bell - FTSE 250, FDWhat a great company - helped with our mortgage initially but have also helped with getting the best out of our pensions too. I would (and do) highly recommend!
Louise PThank you so much for everything you've done. I'd hate to imagine when it would have got completed if you hadn't chased everyone involved.
